Call 911 and die... or possibly go the slammer.

This country is starting to seriously piss me off.

Ottawa police are investigating how an elderly victim of a vicious attack in his home ended up spending 75 days in jail after calling 911 for help.

Marian Andrzejewski, 74, called 911 after two men broke into his Ottawa apartment in October 2010, robbed him and punched him repeatedly.

But instead of getting help, Andrzejewski was scolded by the dispatcher when he struggled to communicate in broken English and ended up in handcuffs himself when police finally arrived.

But hey, after the old guy spent 75 days in jail he was acquitted of all charges and set free, so its all good right?

Andrzejewski said he is relieved to be cleared of any wrongdoing and is glad to have his life back.

"I'm very happy," he said.

"Ottawa police are investigating..." Heads need to roll on this one. Starting with the 911 beeotch. This is Soviet level bullshit. And they need to pay that Andrzejewski guy money. $1000 bucks a day for every day he was wrongly held sounds reasonable to me, to be paid by every incompetent son of a sea cook who made this happen. Oh, plus all his legal fees. Doubled, with interest.

more cards and letters working, Internet Surveillance bill C-30 falls down the well.

More evidence that electing a Conservative majority gets you some Conservative policy decisions.

Bill C-30, also known as the lawful access legislation, would allow police to compel Internet service providers to cough up identifying information about anyone using the Internet.

The authorities would not be able to track a person's activity on the web without a warrant. But they could find out whose name is attached to an IP address without that warrant, and without the person's knowledge or consent, which is why both the federal and provincial privacy commissioners strongly objected to the bill as an unjustified violation of privacy rights.

Many Tory MPs are also said to be unhappy with the bill. They wonder why the government would abolish both the mandatory long-form census and the long-gun firearms registry in the name of privacy rights, and then violate those same rights with a bill that lets the government snoop on people who go online.

Yeah, well the reason those CPC MPs are unhappy, over and above their own moral codes, is because a zillion guys like myself phoned them up and said "WTF dude? You going to spy on my surfing? Why the hell did I vote for you then, I could have just voted Liberal!!!"

This fact is quietly ignored in the Blob & Snail piece I quoted above. They're trying to make it all about Vic Toews so as to damage Harper. Because to them everything is an attack on Harper. That's all they do, attack Harper.

What this is, rather than an opportunity for a cheap political shot, it is evidence of the Conservative Party listening to the people who voted for them instead of the pecker-head apparatchiks in the Federal civil service who wrote that bill to serve their own purposes. We win one, they lose one.

Awesome.  Lets see some more of this.

Remote location wind power done in a COOL way.

This is SO cool. Its a helium balloon shaped like a stack of donuts with a windmill in the hole. The big brag is they can loft this thing (scaled up to Hindenburg size) and generate megawatts of steady power from higher altitude winds.

Why is the Phantom Windmill Hater talking about windmills today? Out of character I agree, but bear with me. :)

Remember this bit about the Pirate Bay wanting to get their servers or at least a gateway out of reach from snarky gummint employees? How about a self powered balloon deployed out of a truck, or better yet off a boat? One such machine floating in the middle of Lake Ontario on a 1000 ft kite string could take traffic from 20 to 30 miles in all directions.

This one here looks like a one or two man operation, float it off a pickup truck/snowmobile/kayak what have you for when you want to be -small-.

Cards and letters DO make a difference!

Of late there has been news that Ontario is requiring gun dealers to keep records of who they sell to and what was purchased. Its a gun registry with the retailers stuck paying the cost for it. Meaning customers actually pay. And its -illegal-. And the province is doing it -anyway-.

I and many others got on the phone and email to MPs and MPPs, and said (essentially) "What fresh hell is THIS? Did you people kill this thing or not?"

Well, today the CPC regime fired a round across McGuinty's bow.

RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson reminded the firearms officer in a letter this week that the passage of the Ending the Long-Gun Registry Act leaves no doubt about Parliament's intention to stop that type of compilation of information about gun owners.

"I instruct all chief firearms officers to ensure that the licensing conditions you impose on business records pursuant to the Firearms Act do not facilitate the creation of long-gun registries in your jurisdictions," Mr. Paulson wrote.

Vic Toews also sent a letter.

Mr. Toews sent a letter sent Tuesday to all provincial chief firearms officers, saying the collection of point-of-sale data is no longer authorized under the Firearms Act.

He asked the RCMP to notify him "immediately" if they hear of chief firearms officers engaged in "unauthorized data collection."

And that my friends is called Action. In and of itself it isn't much, but I'm actually kind of surprised in a pleasant way that the CPC acted this quickly and publicly. It means they HEARD from y'all, and they are moving on it. If they keep on hearing about it they will keep on moving.

I for one am not going to shut up.

Just keep voting Liberal, we'll get there.

Sweden bans home schooling.

Before 2010, it was possible to home-school in Sweden. But new laws now ban the practice in almost all cases and forces private schools to teach the state curriculum.

Swedish human rights lawyer Ruby Harrold-Claesson calls what's happening in Sweden a "parental inquisition."

"Sweden's treatment of parents in the area of education is totalitarian, essentially. They want to take children from birth to graduation and control them," said Michael Donnelly, director of international relations at the Homeschool Legal Defense Association.

Donnelly claims Sweden's treatment of parents violates established standards of human rights.

"In fact, the U.N. Declaration on Human Rights signed in 1947 actually says … that parents have a 'prior right' to decide the kind of education their children should have," he explained.

But Sweden's ambassador to the United States said, "The [Swedish] government does not find that home schooling is necessary for religious or philosophical reasons."

Flip, flop and fly...

Barry blinks again.

Under pressure from farming advocates in rural communities, and following a report by The Daily Caller, the Obama administration withdrew a proposed rule Thursday that would have applied child labor laws to family farms.

Critics complained that the regulation would have drastically changed the extent to which children could work on farms owned by family members. The U.S. Department of Labor cited public outcry as the reason for withdrawing the rule.

"The decision to withdraw this rule — including provisions to define the 'parental exemption' — was made in response to thousands of comments expressing concerns about the effect of the proposed rules on small family-owned farms," the Department said in a press release Thursday evening. "To be clear, this regulation will not be pursued for the duration of the Obama administration."

The rule would have dramatically changed what types of chores children under the age of 16 could perform on and around American farms. It would have prohibited them from working with tobacco, operating almost all types of power-driven equipment and being employed to work with raw farm materials.

"Prohibited places of employment would include country grain elevators, grain bins, silos, feed lots, stockyards, livestock exchanges and livestock auctions," read a press release from last August.

I think the "thousands of comments" is probably misdirection by way of understatement. When the news on this broke they most likely got hundreds of thousands of negative comments. Every farmer in the USA who heard about it was burning up the email I bet.

Kids under 16 can't work with "raw farm materials"? Like manure? And hay? As if.

Location of US drone sites released. Not where you'd think they'd be.

Some of the locations are very interesting. Mostly due to where they are not flying.

There are at least 63 active drone sites around the U.S, federal authorities have been forced to reveal following a landmark Freedom of Information lawsuit.

The unmanned planes – some of which may have been designed to kill terror suspects – are being launched from locations in 20 states.

Most of the active drones are deployed from military installations, enforcement agencies and border patrol teams, according to the Federal Aviation Authority.

The map of site locations looks like the Red/Blue voting map, only in reverse. Expired licenses in Arizona and Southern California indicate no drones are currently being used there (legally, anyway) to monitor the southern border with Mexico. New Mexico and Texas have southern border sites listed as "active" but they are universities. Most of the sites are in the middle of the country or clustered around New York and Washington DC.

In fact, according to the Google Maps site, the only active Border Patrol drone site is in North Dakota, next to Winnipeg Manitoba. Apparently Canada needs watching more than the Mexican drug cartels. Which is interesting, to say the least.

NAACP supports "Stand Your Gound" Law in Florida. No, this is not satire.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People supports the "Stand Your Ground" law in Florida, and without any overt signs of embarrassment too.

The NAACP's Jacksonville chapter has thrown its support behind a woman who will be sentenced Monday in a shooting where she claimed self-defense against an abusive husband under the state's Stand Your Ground law.

Marissa Danielle Alexander, 31, was charged with three counts of aggravated assault in August 2010 after she fired a single shot into the ceiling of her home during a dispute that somehow turned physical.

I love that "somehow turned physical" part, that's a nice touch eh?

Anyway, NAACP is kewl with black females "defending" themselves, even after a jury has found them guilty of aggravated assault with a firearm . Its only the "white Hispanics" in the process of being beaten to death they have a problem with, apparently.

Just thought y'all should know. ~:D

PUT DOWN THE PORKCHOP AND COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!!!

You know how I keep saying that if a bureaucrat has access to a SWAT team he will find a way to use it?  I hate being right.

NaturalNews can now confirm that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has, in total violation of the Fourth Amendment, conducted two armed raids on pig farmers in that state, one in Kalkaska County at Fife Lake and another in Cheboygan County. Staging raids involving six vehicles and ten armed men, DNA conducted unconstitutional, illegal and arguably criminal armed raids on these two farms with the intent of shooting all the farmers' pigs under a bizarre new "Invasive Species Order" (ISO) that has suddenly declared traditional livestock to be an invasive species.

Natural News boy gets a little excited there, but it all boils down to an order by the Michigan State Dept. of Natural Resources.  They've basically told farmers in Michigan that if they have pigs with the wrong colored hair that the animals must be slaughtered immediately. No recourse, no compensation, no livestock insurance, tough shit you're out of business.

The Invasive Species Order is here: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/dnr/MDNR_DECLARATORY_RULING_2011-12-13_FINAL_371200_7.pdf
It really does no-shit come right out and say if your pig is XYZ colored, you can't have it. Period. Oh, your whole hog operation depends on this herd and they are all the wrong color? Oh to bad Farmer John! So sad!

I guess some farmers told them  "f- off this is America you can't take my stuff without due process I'll see you in court assholes", so the sons of bitches RAIDED them. Full up raids. One guy had to hurry up and kill all his pigs before they got there, or they'd have hauled him off to the slammer.  Now he's broke but at least not broke in the county jail.

Canadian gun owners who lived through the early 1990's will be familiar with the sensation. The stoke of a pen renders something you bought 100% legally into an illegal instrument of DOOOOM!, and it takes you from law abiding citizen to SUPER CRIMINAL in the blink of an eye.

If guns, why not pigs?

Here's the fun part my friends: if pigs, why not cars?

Oh wait, I know one! Why not skin color?! That's a great one, 'cause that shade you are, that don't wash off. Too white, too brown, oh well. Cattle car for you, unlucky dude.

Now if you're wondering "what the hell are the putting in the water in Michigan?" that is the WRONG QUESTION. This is not an accident, or a mistake. They are not insane, nor are they stupid.

This kind of ludicrous excess is the logical, inevitable outcome of ever increasing government power. If you give the Michigan Department of Natural Resources money for guns and training, THEY WILL USE THEM. If you give them Predator drones and wiretaps, they will use them. If you give them powers of search, seizure and incarceration, they will use them.

So the next time you hear some yahoo say "There oughta be a law..." I suggest you use your boots.

DROP THE TWINKIE AND WADDLE OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!!!

In Germany it is discovered that being morbidly obese is a fire hazard. And it pollutes the environment too!

Cremations in Germany are becoming more complicated owing to an increase in obesity. At the moment, around half of the country's deceased are cremated. Likewise, roughly 15 percent of Germans are obese, and the figures are climbing.

The funeral industry has adapted to these new conditions with plus-size coffins and crematorium furnaces outfitted with larger doors. But one problem remains: Due to their high fat content, obese bodies often burn so hot that they overtax crematorium facilities. The cause of the chimney fire in Hamelin appears to have been "extreme heat due to burning a high amount of fat," according to Carl Schmidt, the crematorium's manager.

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking: "Its a gas-fired oven. How can that go on fire?"  Well, its the chimney that actually goes on fire because of all the scrubbers and particle filters and cyclonic screening and blah blah blah that they have on there. You dump a four hundred pound fattie in there, that's a whole lot of high density fuel getting burnt. The fat boils, becomes an aerosol, sticks in all the sooper-dooper filtering gizmology and GOES ON FIRE. Now you've got an unsealed chimney with a couple tons of half molten scrap on your nice clean crematorium floor. Bummer!

"Unforeseen fires happen at many crematoriums," says Jochen Sembdner, who constructs such facilities and conducts safety checks on them in the state of Lower Saxony. In such emergency situations, flaps behind the furnace open and the system goes into what's known as bypass mode. The furnace releases smoke -- together with all its dioxins and furans, mercury from dental fillings and other heavy metals and particulate matter -- directly into the outside air, bypassing the facility's gauges and filters. Crematorium operators say that the bypass mode is only used once or twice a year at any given crematorium. But that's not something that authorities check on."

Yeah, so basically anytime they get another sea-mammal to burn they bypass the super expensive scrubbing crap and blow the stinky fumacious smoke straight out. AAAAIIIEEEE! The humanity!!! They're bypassing the regulations!!!  What to do, what to do?

Oh wait, I know! MORE regulations.

Engineer Hubert Kerber is spearheading the protest against a new crematorium in Sinsheim-Reihen, a town in the southwestern German state of Baden-Württemberg. Kerber says facilities in bypass mode "spew pollutants." As an inspector with TÜV, a German safety-certification and technical inspection organization, Kerber has a chance to see many types of incinerators, including crematoriums. Having compared standards and maximum permissible limits, he believes that "every waste-incineration operation is more strictly regulated."

A protest. That's sure to work.

However, if I may be allowed a modest proposal, perhaps the best way to look at this is as an opportunity rather than a problem. It seems in these times of expensive fuel to be a shame to merely waste all that fat which deceased citizens spent so much time and money toward accumulating and carrying around. If bodies were processed before cremation to make them more amenable to combustion, say by rendering out the fats or perhaps liquification by the use of a giant blender, the discarded shells of our departed loved ones could contribute one last gift to society by generating electricity in a co-located crematorium/power plant. Also, as we know fat has a higher energy content by weight than fossil fuels, so perhaps that last donation could be to a biofuels plant, and used to drive the hearse carrying the next sea mammal to the funeral home/rendering plant.

As society gains mass over the years the answer to our energy woes may be sagging in the next booth over at McDonald's, or bear-walking down the food court at the mall.

Just sayin'.

Didn't I just say this yesterday?

Mainstream media weenies get their ideas from the web.

"If the judge were to rule in the pre-trial that Zimmerman has a legitimate claim in the 'Stand Your Ground' law defense and was as a result released, I think that could have national impact and as a result it could bleed into the political system," Dan Abrams, legal analyst and founder of Mediaite, told POLITICO. Or, he added, "If there is an acquittal … I think that it could have national political implications, because at that point I think both [Mitt] Romney and [President Barack] Obama could be asked to comment on it."

Ya think? Wow, these Politico guys are sharp, eh?
Personally I think its much more likely the President is going to shape his whole campaign around this thing (because otherwise he's got NOTHING) and Romney's going to be asked to comment on the riots.
Unless somebody waxes Zimmerman in the slammer, then 12 million Hispanics are going to switch to Republican AND they're going to riot. Barry will be asked to comment on that.

New record for dumbest Traaaayvon! comment.

Move over Bill Cosby, here comes Michael Bloomberg!

"The laws are not the kind of laws a civilized society should have and the [National Rifle Association] should be ashamed of themselves," Bloomberg, a leading gun-control advocate, said at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. "This has nothing to do with gun-owners' rights. This has nothing to do with the Second Amendment." "Plain and simple, this is just trying to give people a license to murder," he added of the Stand Your Ground laws. "The fact is, all Americans already have a right to defend themselves with commensurate force," he said, "but these Shoot First laws have nothing to do with that or with the exercise of Second Amendment rights, instead they justify civilian gunplay and invite vigilante justice and retribution with disastrous results."

But, but, Mayor Bloomberg sir! What about the TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR BOUNTY that the New Black Panthers have offered for George Zimmerman's head?

"Anybody that puts a bounty on somebody else's life is acting totally inappropriately. I'm sure it's illegal, it must be illegal," he said in response to a reporter from the Daily Caller. "What an outrage to even ask the question. What do you think?!" Bloomberg snapped. "I didn't even know about it until you just told me. … Now I've said my peace, okay. It is an outrage and it's against the law."

Why was Mikey talking about all this?

Speaking at the National Press Club, Bloomberg was headlining an event launching a national "Second Chance on Shoot First" campaign, which aims to block or repeal Stand Your Ground laws around the country in the wake of the Martin shooting. He was joined by Democratic Florida state Sen. Chris Smith, the NAACP's Hilary Shelton and Urban League President Mark Moriel.

Ayn Rand at this point rises in my estimation from Really Smart Lady to Divinely Inspired Prophet. (bwaha!) Watching this apparatchik Bloomberg talk is like watching Atlas Shrugged on TV.

To the point, which is at the top of Bloomberg's conical head, "Stand Your Ground" laws were enacted in multiple states to address the existing requirement of law that a person under attack must flee their attacker, and can only lawfully defend themselves with a weapon if he doggedly pursues them. Meaning if a guy breaks in to your house, YOU have to run outside and he has to follow you with the -provable- intent to kill you before you use a weapon on him, otherwise you're guilty of attempted murder.

The Traaaaayvon Martin shooting DOES NOT INVOLVE the "Stand Your Ground" law, because Zimmerman shot the son of a bitch while lying on his back having his head beaten against the sidewalk. If that's the case, and if as reported there are witnesses who say its true, then its a righteous shoot and it doesn't matter if Zimmerman is the biggest racist since Robert W. Byrd. Having your head beat on a sidewalk is immanent danger of death, no way around it.

Tonight is was announced that a new Special Prosecutor in Florida has charged Zimmerman with Second Degree Murder, so the Powers That Be are running scared. Unless a lot of people lied, there's not a chance in hell of proving that charge. He's going to have a stage managed Soviet show trial, he's going to get "convicted", and his "conviction" is going to be quashed on appeal. And mocked at length in the Appeal's Court decision no doubt.

Or he's going to die in jail. Or possibly both. No matter how you slice it, George Zimmerman is royally fragged. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. Sure.

On the bright side, by doing it this way the State of Florida steals the wind from Al Sharpton and Obama's sails, and very likely avoids having the city of Miami burnt to the ground by the mob.

Jus'ice, Hope and Change style.

Dumbest Traaaayvon! comment yet.

From Bill Cosby no less.

"We've got to get the gun out of the hands of people who are supposed to be on neighborhood watch," said Mr. Cosby, whose remarks were the first he has made publicly about the case.

"Without a gun, I don't see Mr. Zimmerman approaching Trayvon by himself," Mr. Cosby explained. "The power-of-the-gun mentality had him unafraid to confront someone. Even police call for backup in similar situations.

"When you carry a gun, you mean to harm somebody, kill somebody," he said.

Yeah! Because a guy who waits to fire until he's on his back getting his head beat on the pavement is clearly a stone-cold killah!

And for Heaven's sake, let's all pretend its perfectly normal and acceptable for a teenager to respond with a full on shit-kicking to a perfect stranger asking him what he's doing out at night. Because that's the real problem isn't it? It IS considered normal and acceptable by far too many people that innocent little eight year old Traaaaayvon oops I mean big hulking 17 year old gangstah Trayvon would try to smash up George Zimmerman for dissing him.

Oh, look at that, "dissing" is treated as an actual proper word by Firefox spell check. See what I mean?

HEY BILL!!! Maybe carrying a gun on Neighborhood Watch means you're afraid the cops won't come when you call them, or maybe you're afraid the robbers and drug dealers who are plaguing your neighborhood will try to kill you OVER NOTHING if you even show up on the street after dark. Ever think of that, rich man?

Whadda maroon!

Nuclear powered drone aircraft. Relax, its just a study... for now.

Sandia labs fingered in this breathless OHMYGAWD! piece about nuclear propulsion in drone aircraft.

American scientists have drawn up plans for a new generation of nuclear-powered drones capable of flying over remote regions of the world for months on end without refuelling.

The blueprints for the new drones, which have been developed by Sandia National Laboratories – the US government's principal nuclear research and development agency – and defence contractor Northrop Grumman, were designed to increase flying time "from days to months" while making more power available for operating equipment, according to a project summary published by Sandia.

"It's pretty terrifying prospect," said Chris Coles of Drone Wars UK, which campaigns against the increasing use of drones for both military and civilian purposes. "Drones are much less safe than other aircraft and tend to crash a lot. There is a major push by this industry to increase the use of drones and both the public and government are struggling to keep up with the implications."

I've been wondering when somebody was going to dust off all that nuclear/electric tech to run these things. The Guardian's hyperventilating aside, there's lots of good reasons to put a nuclear/electric motor on one of these things and fly it really high. Lots of bad reasons too though, there's the rub.

Big Brother tracking you, and has been for a while now.

The New York Times finally yawns, stretches and smells the coffee.

Law enforcement tracking of cellphones, once the province mainly of federal agents, has become a powerful and widely used surveillance tool for local police officials, with hundreds of departments, large and small, often using it aggressively with little or no court oversight, documents show.

The practice has become big business for cellphone companies, too, with a handful of carriers marketing a catalog of "surveillance fees" to police departments to determine a suspect's location, trace phone calls and texts or provide other services. Some departments log dozens of traces a month for both emergencies and routine investigations.

With cellphones ubiquitous, the police call phone tracing a valuable weapon in emergencies like child abductions and suicide calls and investigations in drug cases and murders. One police training manual describes cellphones as "the virtual biographer of our daily activities," providing a hunting ground for learning contacts and travels.

Yes my friends, tracing cell location has gone from Super Spy FBI stuff to "bored local cop screwing around with your location data" stuff. Even better, a casual and meaningless contact with a "person of interest", such as sitting one seat over from Mr. Interesting on a bus, could easily lead to Constable Plod checking your phone data just to see who you are and where you've been the last few days.

Got any parking tickets? Unpaid fines? Done any speeding lately?  Constable Plod knows who's been naughty or nice.

What to do, what to do?

Brazen it out, I say. Constable Plod can blow it out his shorts, because for now at least cell phone data is proof of nothing in court. However when that changes, as we can be quite sure it will, your only defense will be to take the battery out of the phone and stick it in a Faraday cage. Along with your ID and credit cards, because they have RFID in them as well.

Might have to go over your vehicle and make sure it isn't radiating too. For all I know they could have stuck unique identifier tags on my truck any time its been parked, or when it was built for that matter.

Time to go build/buy an RF spectrum analyzer and an RFID antenna. Ain't nothing been built can survive a determined assault with a pair of side cutters and a soldering iron. All else fails there's always the cutting torch. Or plasma. I like that one, its hot. :)

Barack meets the Ghost of Christmas Future... and blinks!

Well, it seems Barry went to look at North Korea. A country that has the welfare system he wants, the health care system he wants, and the "cult of personality" leadership he's been assiduously cultivating since he was just a community organizer.

Here's what The One had to say after looking at his ideal country:

"It is like you are in a time warp," Obama said Sunday, after he toured a rocky border post in the demilitarised buffer zone that has split the Korean peninsular for longer than he has been alive."It is like you are looking across 50 years into a country that has missed 40 years or 50 years of progress,"

Yeah, no shit Sherlock. We've been saying this. Then later when talking to reporters he said:

"If a country can't feed its people effectively, if it can't make anything of any use to anybody, if it has no exports other than weapons and even those aren't ones that in any way would be considered state of the art.

"If it can't deliver on any indicators of well-being... for its people... then you'd think you'd want to try something different," Obama said in a highly undiplomatic and unusually frank public appearance.

"There are certain things that just don't work and what they are doing doesn't work."

How about if a country can't pay its frickin' bills, Barry? How about that? Having seen the wasteland of Communism, you think maybe you'll give some thought to not making YOUR freegin' country into that?

Dumb ass.

Violence in the streets, what are you nuts?

Clearly, Glen Beck is insane.

...we rarely hear much about the rodeo clown these days. But it doesn't mean he's still not melting down and issuing warnings of the coming left wing Armageddon.

That was back in October 2011, Beck remarking that the Leftie/OWS crowd were dangerous. He said:

"They will come for you and drag you into the streets and kill you."

Glenn baby, that's kwazzy tawk!

Fast forward to yesterday:

The new Black Panther Party offered a bounty of $10,000 Saturday for the "capture" of a Florida neighborhood watch captain who killed unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth," leader Mikhail Muhammad said after announcing the reward for George Zimmerman at a protest in Sanford, Fla.

Muhammad called on 5,000 black men to mobilize and capture the neighborhood watch volunteer.

"If the government won't do the job, we'll do it," Muhammad said, leading chants that included "freedom or death" and "justice for Trayvon."

They've also been circulating a "WANTED" poster with Zimmerman's picture on it. Don't know if it said "Dead Or Alive" on it or not.

Now, normally one just accepts that the New Black Panthers are a pack of lunatics and moves on, but this time they've got Big DemocRat support from the Rev. Al Sharpton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and the well known Chicago community organizer Mr. Barack Obama.

And REUTERS too!
[Treyvon] Martin, 17 and unarmed, was shot dead on February 26 after Zimmerman, 28, a white Hispanic neighborhood watch captain, believed the young man walking through the gated community in a "hoodie" hooded sweatshirt looked suspicious. Zimmerman followed him and an altercation ensued.

A "white Hispanic" forsooth. As opposed to a "mahogany Hispanic" or a "jaunty turquoise Hispanic" I suppose. What, they forgot Zimmerman's father is Jewish? He's a "white, Hispanic half-Jew!!!", surely. I say again, it is impossible to lampoon the media anymore, they will top you every single time.

So there you have it my friends. Beck clearly crazy in October, by March he's just reading aloud from the New York Daily News as nut groups offer big money to drag a guy out in the street and kill him. And its not even spring yet.

What's going to happen when it gets hot out? Keep your Go-bag packed and check your escape routes my friends. Never hurts to be ready for trouble.

Another Lefty "RAAAAACIST!" attack job goes horribly wrong.

Barack Obama has joined the angel chorus of good righteous Lefties screaming for blood in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida. Charges of racism have figured prominently, I guess they figured they were on pretty safe ground screaming RAAAACIST!!! at a guy named George Zimmerman.

Oops.

George Zimmerman is Hispanic and grew up in a multiracial family, the statement says.
"He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever ...," the letter says. "The media portrayal of George as a racist could not be further from the truth."

D'oh!

There are also indications that the media story about what happened could use some work too, because right now they've got Zimmerman shooting this kid after chasing him into somebody's back yard. Even with the "Stand Your Ground" law, something like that is a no-brainer manslaughter charge at the very least. But the cops didn't charge him. So it would seem that yet again, all is not the way Rev. Al Sharpton would like you to believe.

The Phantom

OOPS! Update: well now it seems there's a witness who saw the whole thing, and that's why the cops didn't arrest Zimmerman. Seems that maybe little Trayvon wasn't the innocent victim here, that MAYBE, Ghod forbid, the cops have a clue and are acting as required by law. Who'd a thunk it? This tidbit of information hasn't slowed up the media freakshow of race baiters any, now Jesse Jackson is in on it and Barack Hussein baby is doubling down.

Borders? We don't need no stinking borders!

California circling the bowl so fast that today they broke the sound barrier.

The Los Angeles Police Department will soon start ignoring California state law, which requires police to impound the vehicles of unlicensed drivers for 30 days.

The majority of unlicensed motorists in Los Angeles are immigrants who are in the country illegally and have low-income jobs. The LAPD says the state's impound law is unfair because it limits their ability to get to their jobs and imposes a steep fine to get their car back.

I wonder whose re-election campaign this has to do with, eh? Ok truth, I'm not wondering.

Who to blame here?

At this time (1:38pm Wednesday Mar. 21st 2012) the French cops are said to be lined up ready to rush the guy who shot a bunch of people around Paris lately. The list of atrocities is not edifying, so I shall not include them. Suffice to say he's a rabid dog in need of a bullet.

Initially the media was speculating this was another Lars Vilks deal, news now says he's French, and/or Al Qaeda, escaped from Afghan jail and/or let go by the USA, and/or under surveillance by the French for several years, blah blah blah.  Naturally this puts the media in the uncomfortable position of having to chose which of their sacred cows to gore in the assigning of blame.

For me, this is easy. I just blame the media. Kids and teacher shot at school = gun-free zone, blame liberal media. Paratroopers shot while unarmed (by law), blame liberal media. Unsecured know fruitloop running around free, blame liberal media.

Why? Because gun control is THEIR policy. Lenient to the point of insanity sentencing of known criminals is THEIR policy.

That's why.

Chick snaps in class, newsies blame Jesus.

Alternative title: This is your brain on drugs.

Some girl freaks out in college and has to be forcibly removed from class and taken to the hospital.  This is news... why?

"They were talking about natural selection. They were talking about peacocks and how females choose their mates by their most feathers and the woman started asking about how that killed all black people," said one FAU student.

Students say that's when the girl snaps, ranting and threatening to kill Professor Kaijura and several of her classmates.

Yep, kid loses her shit in class and it makes national news, media spinning hard so it seems like some fundie is getting all dangerous about Darwin again. Gotta be a headliner for sure, what with those kids getting killed in France the other day, gets some Christian action out there to make it look like "they all do it"..

Plus, you know, they had video. Ten pukes with iPhones and YouTube accounts made sure. Nice little bit of safe-to-show violence and swearing to titillate the ten o'clock news crowd, fill up two minutes of otherwise dead air on a no-news day.

It looks to me like too many lectures on The White Male Hegemony plus a diet high in recreational chemicals, but t'would appear nobody is going to let the facts get in the way of a perfectly good TV time filler.

I hate TV.

I know you people all think I'm mental for posting this flying drone crap all the time...

... but I'm SO not.

The world's largest and most resilient BitTorrent site plans to redefine "cloud computing" with a plan to move at least some of its servers onto unmanned drones miles above Sweden.

In a Sunday blog post, The Pirate Bay announced new "Low Orbit Server Stations" that will house the site's servers and files on unmanned, GPS-controlled, aircraft drones.

To me its just obvious. You want to put your stuff someplace where the cops can't just kick in your front door anytime they want? Put it on an autonomous aircraft or an autonomous zeppelin/balloon/blimp whatever. They are CHEAP, they are easy to make in your mom's basement, they can do the job you want them to do be it file server or phone sniffer/cracker/whatever, and the best part is the cops can't get to them. Physically can't get there.

I mean, are we going to have police units running around Europe and North America shooting down glorified model airplanes all the time? Unlikely!

But even if they do try to shoot them,  shooting them down with what? Stinger missiles? AAA cannon?  Jet fighters? You put a drone up higher than the airline industry goes and have it stay there stationary for a couple of days on solar power, that's going to be a hell of a thing to try and stop. The cost of such an aircraft would be considerably less than the cost of the fuel for the jet that's going to go shoot it too.

It is also the answer to Barack Hussein Obama's fabulous Internet Off-Switch. Sail a few of these things over every city in the country, you've got basic text internet instantly for anybody willing to aim a TV dish at it.

Way to go Pirate Bay!

Armed guards ensuring safety of Organ Pipe tours

QUITOBAQUITO - It was a tour of public lands with splendid scenery, a glib guide - and lethal firepower on hand just in case.

The tour last week - to Quitobaquito Spring at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument south of Ajo - was guarded by federal officers armed with assault rifles and other weapons.

Why?

"It's because of the perception that exposure to human and narcotics smugglers is a bad thing for the visiting public," said Matthew Vandzura, chief ranger at the monument on the Mexican border.

No word on whether or not TSA was on hand to grope the tourists before and after the tour, in case one of them might have had a Swiss Army knife.

I've been to Organ Pipe National Monument. It was nice. There were no armed guards or "Danger beware of narco-smugglers" signs. That's because it was about 1997 and the Border Patrol hadn't yet been ordered to NOT arrest smugglers.

Then there's this gem today:

Federal agents stopped the main target of the ill-fated Operation Fast and Furious in May 2010. After they questioned him, he disappeared back into Mexico, and the program went on to spiral out of control.

Because its the LS Times I'll do the translation for you. He didn't magically "disappear", THEY LET HIM GO.

Why ATF agents did not arrest Celis-Acosta immediately is not clear. He was their prime suspect and the subject of secret wiretaps approved by the Justice Department.

"Due to the fact that the criminal case is still ongoing in the courts, and the inspector general's office is still investigating, we cannot comment about this," ATF chief spokesman Drew Wade said.

They can't comment because nobody at Justice is willing to fall on their sword and admit they gave the order to ATF to let this clown go, even though they had him dead to rights. Because it probably came from pretty high up.

So why is human- smuggling, drug traffic and gun-running out of control on the southern US border? Because Obama and Holder want it that way, that's why. Its government policy. Y'all are paying for this.

Andrew Breitbart, even though he is dead,  STILL DOING THE JOB the rest of the media has quite obviously been paid not to do.

Breitbart.com has uncovered video from 1995 of then-U.S. Attorney Eric Holder announcing a public campaign to "really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way."

Because people are stupid, you know. If we don't tell them what to think they'll get it wrong, the dumb bastards.

Scientists having fun with scanning/tunneling microscopes again.

This... is very cool.

In short, if you can manually move electrons around, you can create different or entirely new materials. That's exactly what Stanford University has done: Using a scanning tunneling microscope (the blue point in the image above), the team of researchers placed individual carbon monoxide molecules on a clean sheet of copper to create "molecular graphene" — an entirely new substance (pictured right) that definitely isn't graphene, but with electrons that act a lot like graphene. The team, which was led by Hari Manoharan, then proceeded to move these individual atoms around, changing the structure and electron arrangement of the material.

It turns out that if you do that, you can make the electrons do things they aren't supposed to do. Which is twice as cool.

"One of the wildest things we did was to make the electrons think they are in a huge magnetic field when, in fact, no real field had been applied," Manoharan said. The team simulated where the atoms would be if there was a magnetic field, and then proceeded to move the individual atoms into these positions. Weirdly enough, the molecular graphene then behaved as if it was in a magnetic field. In other words, the presence of a magnetic field is neither here nor there: What really matters is the position of atoms and their effect on the arrangement of electrons.

So in principle anyway its possible to make a material that behaves as if it was in a magnetic field when its not.
What that would look like in bulk amounts is materials that have properties that will be like magic. Room-temperature superconductors anyone? Surface-to-orbit beanstalk/space elevator anyone? Cloak of Invisibility? Bullet-proof t-shirts?

This could be fun!

In Soviet Amerika, TV watches -you-.

What have I been telling you people?

Everything from remote controls to clock radios can now be controlled via apps - and chip company ARM recently unveiled low-powered, cheaper chips which will be used in everything from fridges and ovens to doorbells.

The resultant chorus of 'connected' gadgets will be able to be read like a book - and even remote-controlled, according to CIA CIA Director David Petraeus, according to a recent report by Wired's 'Danger Room' blog.

Petraeus says that web-connected gadgets will 'transform' the art of spying - allowing spies to monitor people automatically without planting bugs, breaking and entering or even donning a tuxedo to infiltrate a dinner party.

'Transformational' is an overused word, but I do believe it properly applies to these technologies,' said Petraeus.

"Transformational" is not the word I would have chosen. Terrifying might be closer.

Bad ideas and their consequences.

Why is this a bad idea?
Tempers are flaring over a version of the American flag flying in Lake County. A veterans group says the flag is an outrage.
The flag, which features a picture of President Obama, was taken down Tuesday afternoon.

Because it leads to this:
The New York Times bestselling author of the explosive new book, Hollywood Hypocrites: The Devastating Truth About Obama's Biggest Backers, Jason Mattera, had his crew's camera snatched and hurled by comedian Chris Rock when he asked the star why he has called the Tea Party racist (video below).

And ultimately leads from there to this here:
PHOENIX - A man described as a President Barack Obama fanatic pleads guilty to threatening to kill Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

You don't have to go far back in history to find examples of why political cults of personality are a bad idea, you just have to surf Drudge for a minute or two every morning to see what Barry's fanboys did yesterday.

Greek Students Fight Stray Dogs and Despair Amid College Cuts

Tear jerker setup, right? Gets worse:

Higher education in Greece, as in much of Europe, has been battered by the recession and austerity measures. Budget cuts of 23 percent since 2009 mean buildings aren't heated in the winter, schools have slashed faculty salaries and newly hired professors can wait more than a year to be appointed. Students say it's hard to be hopeful with youth unemployment surpassing 50 percent and protesters seizing university buildings.

...

Elizabeth Iounnou, 22, an architecture student at the National Technical University of Athens, said that many of last year's graduates don't have permanent jobs and that she worries about her prospects. Her parents are suffering after a 20 percent pay cut "and when the time comes for us to work, it will be worse," she said.

The blame lies with politicians, and those that benefitted from a corrupt political system, who stole her future, Iounnou said.

"It is unfair," she said. "I am angry and most of all I am disappointed."

Its all just so SAD. Boo hoo.

But if you go waaaaaay down to the bottom you discover Greek students pay no tuition. And then there's this gem of knowledge here:

The higher-education system is a legacy of the student-led revolt against the 1970s dictatorship, said Dimitri Sotiropoulos, an associate professor of political science at the University of Athens.

"In Europe, and in southern Europe in particular, universities were always the hub of reform movements and even revolutionary movements," Sotiropoulos said in an interview. "It was the only space where antifascist intellectuals could express opinions."

As a result, Greek students have a significant role in the governance and administration of the universities, including a say in the hiring of the rectors in charge, Sotiropoulos said. That power is often exploited by political parties, which have large and active youth branches, to fight reform, he said.

Borrow more money to pay for free beer at Frosh Week? Hell ya, great idea!

Then there's this:
Another legacy of the 1970s youth movement was a prohibition against police entering campus. Originally intended to protect student protesters from police brutality, it meant drug dealers and users could find asylum on campuses, Sotiropoulos said. While that law was overturned last year, the deans must invite police on campus, and because the deans were elected by students, they are loath to do so, he said.

So in truth its not really a school. Its more a hive of anarchists and communists pretending to be a school. Full of "students" who are mostly there for the welfare money and cheap drugs. Talk about yer higher education.

And now its going broke. Silver lining! Toldja.

Its the Zombie Apocalypse, do you know where your shotgun is?

I've got your patented zombie medicine right here, the KelTec KSG bullpup pump shotgun. Its kewl!

Need a pistol to keep you alive until you can get to your shotgun? U.S. Firearms M4-.410. Its so steampunk I can hardly believe it.
And what are we going to load our zombie slaying shotguns with? Zombie Blasters, obviously! ka-BOOM!

What is it that keeps Detroit F-ed?

For instance, why does crap like this keep happening?
...an 86-year-old World War II veteran was assaulted and his car was stolen in broad daylight. After several people passed by him as he crawled, unable to walk because his leg was broken in the attack, the man tried to pay a stranger to drive him home. The good Samaritan man drove him for free, and called an ambulance. Days later, a 21-year-old suspect was arrested. Charges are pending.

Here's a clue.

Detroit Councilman Kwame Kenyatta is drafting an ordinance that would require gas station owners to hire security guards to protect the public.

"And as we watch this man was beaten on camera and crawled into the station, never once did I see the proprietor, as well as the people who were going to that gas station, help that individual. We are saying secure your facility, safeguard us as a community," said Kenyatta.

Pretty much given up on the idea of having the cops do it, I guess. Ok, but that's not normal, really. After the beating people usually go help the old man, right? Why didn't they?  Why did the owner/manager/punk kid employee stay buttoned up inside the store?

Here's a clue.

A man was shot and killed Friday night after an apparent dispute over the price of condoms at a Detroit gas station.

WWJ's Beth Fisher spoke to an employee at the BP gas station on Fenkell and Meyers, where the shooting took place on the city's westside overnight. The employee said the argument was apparently over the price of a box of condoms.

He said the customer bought a box of condoms, but made a comment that he was overcharged and could have bought them somewhere else for a cheaper price. After being told he couldn't get a refund, the customer allegedly began tossing items off the shelves. That's when, according to the employee, the overnight clerk came out with a gun and fired a warning shot, which struck the customer in the shoulder.

Police say the customer was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Why is this a clue as to why nobody wants to "get involved?  This is just toooooo good:

Ron Scott, with the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality, said they are working on conflict resolution between gas station owners and Detroiters, something they will be discussing at a meeting on Sunday.

"We can't have this kind of attitude and this kind of disrespect for life. Whether it happens to people who work in the gas station or definitely if it happens to people in the community. From what I'm understanding, the price of a condom should not be somebody's life," said Scott.

Police say the store clerk, whose name has not been released, is in custody. An investigation is ongoing.

Because shooting some violent asshole who's probably armed and obviously dangerous, during a crime wave, when he's wrecking your store and threatening to kick your ass, is just so WRONG.

Bottom line here,  Councilman Kwame Kenyatta  wants to make gas station owners hire security guards to "safeguard us as a community", and Ron Scott is ok with that but wants to make sure they can't actually -do- anything when the "community" gets all up in their face and starts wrecking the joint.

'Cause its all down to respec'. I couldn't make that up, that's a DIRECT QUOTE baby!

Scott said part of the problem is the general relationship between customers in the communities and gas station owners and employees.

"The problem basically is that you have people who work in the stations who do not have a reasonable relationship with the community, where the respect for the dollars that they spend is accorded to them in the terms of human respect. On the other hand, you do have people in the neighborhood who come in, or people who might engage in negative activity, where the lives of the owners are threatened," said Scott.

What it comes down to, said Scott, is respect.

"I've been in similar situations in some of these stores where I've been disrespected. And now we're talking about young, specifically African-American men. One of the major things in the community that you want is respect… and I think people here don't have skills in terms of de-escalation of violence," said Scott.

Brothers gotta have their props. That's all Ron baby sayin'.  Don't start none, won't be none.  Sing it Aretha! "R-e-s-p-e-c-t, Find out what it means to me..."

And that is what keeps Detroit f-ed. Its run by people like Kwame and Ronnie, two guys who between them have the IQ of a ham sandwich.

Cue Kathy Shaidle in 3, 2, 1... [mushroom cloud, lightning]

"They wear strange, tight clothes that have pictures on them such as skulls and use stationary that are shaped as skulls. They also wear rings on their noses and tongues, and do other strange activities," it continued.

Religious extremists caught onto the interior ministry statement, and have been harassing and killing teenagers with "strange" or "emo" appearances.

Gloria Allred screaming "SHUT UUUUUUP!"

Gloria Allred has decided, all on her own and uninvited mind you, that calling a woman (who claims she spends $1000.00 a year on contraceptives) a slut is an indictable offense.

In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women's Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who "speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity" is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh's remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach.

I'm not a lawyer, but off hand I'd say a bill for contraceptives in excess of a thousand bucks a year puts paid to the idea that any imputation of "a want of chastity" would be either false or malicious. More like a bald statement of recorded fact. Call me crazy, but that's my take.

However I must say that its real nice of ol' Gloria there to come out and give this piece of free legal help to poor little Sandra Fluke, unasked for.

Allred, whose most recent high-profile clients have included Sharon Bialek, who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment, and porn star Ginger Lee, who exchanged explicit emails with former Rep. Anthony Weiner, said Friday that she has not yet been in touch with Fluke.

"I don't reach out to women, they reach out to me," she said. "If she did reach out to me, obviously I would respond."

Since she's such a nice helpful lady, and so concerned with unpleasant innuendo against prominent women in the media, I'll be very interested to see what Gloria does about Bill Maher calling Sarah Palin a four letter word which starts with "c" on the air. Not to mention the legions of Lefty commentators who have had seriously frigged up things to say about Anne Coulter, including wanting to hate f- her and stuff like that.  Maybe Michelle Malkin should try "reaching out" to Gloria. With a broom handle perhaps, Gloria looks like she bites as well as barks.

While on the subject, I think Limbaugh was right the first time about Ms. Fluke. A thousand bucks worth of contraception adds up to three times a day, three sixty five days a year, or some serious weekends, and no one guy is going to measure up to that kind of load, long term. Which kind of -defines- the term "slut". Unless she was LYING about the $1k per year for safes, in which case he was merely misled.  In which case, isn't there some law against lying to the Senate? Just sayin'.

Either way he's wrong for apologizing to this objectionable apparatchik Fluke, and all the pussy advertisers who jumped ship from his show are going to see their reward for cowardice in next quarter's sales figures.

Increasingly these days being a Conservative in public discourse means high sticking and throwing your gloves on the ice, not chasing the puck. Never mind the game, just pound on the sons of b!tches and leave 'em leaking.

"SHUT UP!!!!" they explained.

And now, from Japan, the Shutupatron, a device that shuts you up.  For real.

Kazutaka Kurihara of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and Koji Tsukada of Ochanomizu University, developed a portable "SpeechJammer" gun that can silence people more than 30 meters away.

The device works by recording its target's speech then firing their words back at them with a 0.2-second delay, which affects the brain's cognitive processes and causes speakers to stutter before silencing them completely.

Describing the device in their research paper, Kurihara and Tsukada wrote, "In general, human speech is jammed by giving back to the speakers their own utterances at a delay of a few hundred milliseconds. This effect can disturb people without any physical discomfort, and disappears immediately by stopping speaking."

Is it just me, or are there a lot of guys spending 'way too much time trying to find new ways to shut people up?

This is freakin' cool.

Joint implant that grows its way into a new joint. Awesome!

The implant has been in development since the mid 90s, and is intended for use in the small finger and toe joints of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis patients. It is made from a polylactide copolymer, and is inserted within the joint capsule of the affected digit.

Once in place, it reduces pain by acting as a cushioning spacer between the exposed bone ends, while also also restoring a reasonable range of movement, and keeping the already-compromised cartilage from being damaged further. Additionally, however, it triggers the body to produce new fibrous tissue, which proceeds to gradually replace the implant. According to the university, all that's left eventually is a fully-functioning "neojoint," made from the body's own cells.

Come on, that's soooo cool! :)

Passing: Andrew Breitbart and Davy Jones.

First, Davy Jones of The Monkeys, part of the soundtrack to my boyhood. "What do you mean, Davy Jones is dead?! How can that guy be dead!" was my reaction.

Davy Jones, the lead singer of The Monkees, died this morning after suffering a heart attack in Indiantown, Fla., his representative confirmed to ABC News. He was 66.

"He passed next to his passions, his horses, and was one hour away from his wife, Jessica Pacheco-Jones," his rep said in a statement.

One of those people who were just good, that you never think of except with fond memories of what you were doing when they were on the radio.

Second, Andrew Breitbart, the Happy Warrior.

Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.

Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:

I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.

Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I've lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I've gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.

Word. We will miss you in the trenches Mr. Breitbart.

Life is fleeting. Live it, my friends.
