Ben and Jerry's ice cream in Vermont is one of the most devotedly Lefty companies out there. They are SUPER SJW, all the time. Have been since the thing was two hippies in a shack making artisanal ice cream.
I don't buy their stuff because of that. They're dicks.Scores of dairy farm workers and activists marched Saturday on a Ben & Jerry's factory to push for better pay and living conditions on farms that provide milk for the ice cream maker that takes pride in its social activism.
Protesters said Ben & Jerry's agreed two years ago to participate in the so-called Milk with Dignity program, but the company and worker representatives have yet to reach an agreement.
"We can't wait any more. We are going to pressure them and see what happens," said Victor Diaz, a Mexican immigrant now working on a farm in Vergennes.

They can never be satisfied, why bother even trying?
And why is it B&J's problem what happens at their suppliers? If they do dictate what happens there, under case law they become B&J's employees, so it is a lose-lose situation for B&J. No wonder they are slow walking the negotiation!
P.S. I'm not a big fan of ice cream, and certainly not of the overpriced, overhyped kind that B&J sells!
Its a protection racket. Pay us or we burn your store. Very simple.
My question is, why are there so many Mexican illegals working on Vermont dairy farms, and how do they all get a day off like this?
Smells like a paid "demonstration" to me.
Why?
Because they're cheap, leave no paper trail, and can't report rights violations.
As for the day off, they can just leave and go down the road to the next gig.
