So? Wait, you mean that's a -bad- thing he said?

America First? How 1940! The congressman went on to condemn those who say the Republican position on immigration is dooming the party by alienating Latinos.

"This is a part of the war on whites that's being launched by the Democratic Party," Brooks said. "And the way in which they're launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else. It's a part of the strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare."

It was the battle cry of the white man, particularly the Southern white man, who is feeling besieged. I don't share the fear, but I understand it. The United States is experiencing a rapid decoupling of race and nationality: Whiteness has less and less to do with being American.

Oh, I get it. In the Demoverse the only possible reason anyone could object to letting just anybody immigrate ILLEGALLY into the USA, bearing all manner of nasty diseases with them I might add, is that the person objecting is a RAAAAAACIST!!!!

Because what the USA is currently experiencing is not a "rapid decoupling of race and nationality". Its not a "surge in immigration. Its not even a "refugee crisis" as some DemocRat operatives have tried to name it.

What the USA is experiencing is a President who proclaimed his southern border open to the entire world. A President who ordered the Border Patrol to stop arresting people for crossing at places other than a proper border access point. A President who has said he will unilaterally declare an amnesty for every illegal who is in the USA in September. Or maybe October, he was kinda vague about the actual date. Despite anything the Congress or the Senate might have to say about it.

And if you dare say anything about it, you're a RAAAAACIST!!!!!!

While the average American home is around 2600 square feet, the typical small or tiny house is around 100-400 square feet.

Looks like I'm not the only one thinking plague.

New York City rolls out the largest surprise public health drill ever.

The New York City Department of Health will be conducting a massive emergency preparedness drill at 30 facilities across the city on Friday.

They are testing the delivery of emergency medications in the event of a biological attack, such as anthrax, or other large-scale public health emergency in the city. The majority of the deliveries will take place to public school buildings.

It's the largest surprise drill in the city's history. The drill was scheduled to take place from approximately 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The majority of participants were given no notice to better test and simulate a real emergency and response.

At least the NYC Powers That Be are THINKING about it.

Well, they are behaving badly. Attacks under a flag of truce are generally considered to fall under the term "treachery".

Just 90 minutes into the "humanitarian" "ceasefire"  Hamas emerged from a terror tunnel, detonated a suicide bomb and took one Jew hostage back through the tunnel.

That's pretty much a textbook definition of treachery. From the Intertubes we get:

A Hamas attack on IDF soldiers in southern Gaza, which occurred an hour and a half after the start of a humanitarian truce, ended with the suspected kidnapping of a soldier, the IDF said Friday.

Second Lt. Hadar Goldin, a 23-year-old Givati officer from Kfar Saba, was named as the IDF soldier presumed to be abducted by Hamas. His family has been notified.

Two other soldiers were killed during the incident. Their families have been notified.

Terrorists emerged from a tunnel shaft, and a suicide bomber detonated himself in the vicinity of soldiers. Heavy exchanges of fire ensued, before one of the IDF soldiers was kidnapped, a senior army source said.

The IDF said the incident occurred at 9:30 a.m., but a spokesman for Hamas's military wing claimed the terrorists came out of the tunnel and took part in the ensuing gunfight at 7:00 a.m.

Some of the terror tunnels are almost 2 miles long and cost upwards of $1 Million each to construct. Some of that construction money comes from American tax payers. Some of those tunnels were built with entrances INSIDE United Nations buildings, ostensibly with tacit UN approval.

We also know that the tunnels run from mosques. Think murder hole dug from your local Baptist church to the nearby shopping mall, that's what we're talking about here.

We also know that not one, not two but THREE stashes of highly explosive rockets have been found in UN-funded schools. You know, where kids go every day to learn how to read. These are not proper rockets made in a nice proper Soviet factory by the way. These are pieces of cobbled-up drain pipe and irrigation tubing tinkered together with home-made explosives and propellants by Mustapha the One Eyed Bomb Maker in his basement. They tend toward unpredictability, shall we say.

We also know that Hamas headquarters is the local hospital where Western reporters are shown all sorts of wounded children.

"None of this appears to me to be accidental," said Pillay, referring to Israel. "They appear to be defying — a deliberate defiance of — obligations that international law imposes on Israel."

She also criticized the United States for providing significant financial assistance for Israel's Iron Dome missile-defense system while offering "no such protection" to shield Gazans against shelling and airstrikes.

This by the way is buried 'waaaaay down at the bottom of the Washington Post article. The UN spokesbabe admits Hamas is hiding munitions in and firing them from schools, hospitals and UN buildings, then condemns Israel for attacking... schools, hospitals and UN buildings.

I conclude that if it wasn't for the UN, there wouldn't even be any Middle East unrest. Much less war.

The federal government's new facility to house illegal immigrant families surging across the border has been put on lockdown because of chicken pox, with no immigrants allowed to be transferred in or out, a congressman said this week.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants being kept at the campus of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, are being treated for and vaccinated against chicken pox after an outbreak, said Rep. Steve Pearce, the Republican congressman whose district includes Artesia.

"As the FLETC facility reaches maximum capacity, I am increasingly concerned for the health and safety of the women and children at FLETC and for the local community. The virus, that has caused two residents to be put in isolation, has halted all departures," Mr. Pearce said.

So, chicken pox, no big deal right? Unless you haven't been vaccinated and catch it as an adult. Then it'll kick your ass.

Patrick Sawyer was a naturalized U.S. citizen who worked for the Finance Ministry of his native Liberia and returned home to his wife and children in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, whenever he could. He almost certainly would have boarded that flight to Minneapolis had he remained at least outwardly healthy enough not to exhibit symptoms.

That could easily happen too. Guy hops a flight to Mexico, infects some fellow Death Train travelers before he falls off someplace, they make it through the desert to a nice Federal Processing Facility/concentration camp and spread it to a couple hundred people as they get processed, they start feeling a bit poorly as they ride a public train to a new city...

To play the super-powered Princess of the Amazons, they pick a short, skinny Israeli model with arms like pipe cleaners. Because obviously there are no large-framed Greek girls who look good in a bathing suit left on the entire Planet Earth. That's the stupid part.

The pervy part? Bondage leather.

Hurt me hurt me, tiny skinny model person.

Because obviously the Princess of the Amazons is going to pick her battle armor so it doesn't cover anything important (like her NECK) but its real butch, it makes the most of her rack and makes her butt look goooood. Even though she's fighting in a volcano. Which would be kind of scalding hot on the skin if she fell down, one would think.

And of course she's going to leave her hair flying out like that so it will get in her eyes and provide a nice handle for somebody to grab. Not to mention it will catch in the bow string of the bow she doesn't have.

So really, DC Comics is going to loose another buttload of money on another Green Lantern-style flop, and you can tell just from the first advertising stills. Because why? When Gov. Rick Perry of Texas announced plans to deploy 1,000 National Guard troops to help with the border crisis, it came with a power unexpected by some. By deploying them himself rather than through Washington, he has the power to order the troops to make arrests and apprehensions, something Guard troops in past border deployments have been prohibited from doing.

Immigrant rights advocates and others, including former federal officials involved in previous National Guard mobilizations, said the troops would lack both training and federal oversight, creating a risk of civil rights violations and deadly encounters with immigrants.

Wait, troops with a lack of federal oversight?! Why, they could run amok!!!! Oh, the humanity!

Critics worry that the Guard will be ill trained to deal with an immigrant population.

"It's going to complicate the scenario of civil and human rights at the border," said Fernando Garcia, executive director of the Border Network for Human Rights. "Border Patrol agents have to go through a number of certifications in academy and post-academy training on immigration law, on civil rights law. Now you're talking about putting in soldiers doing that kind of work. Legally, it's going to be a disaster if they start enforcing criminal, civil or immigration laws."

Let's compress this "argument" to its true form, shall we? Just as the New York Times thinks standard civilians lack the training and certifications to be trusted with a gun, they also think that only Federal Border Patrol Agents have the super-duper training and certification neccessary to be entrusted with the high calling of arresting stupid teenagers crossing the border illegally. Or to put it more bluntly:

You're stupid. You must be controlled.

Mere State level government apparatchiks are stupid as well. They must be controlled.

Only unionized and certified Federal Government Employees are smart enough to manage these highly complex and nuanced issues of people swimming across a river when they aren't supposed to. Because it would be CRAZY to just put the sons of bitches in a boat and ferry them back again, right? That would be nuts!

Illegal to be arrested for being tuberculosis positive in California.

Going to be seeing a lot more of this, I do think.

Prosecutors in Central California have obtained an arrest warrant for a tuberculosis patient who they say is contagious and has refused treatment.

San Joaquin County Deputy District Attorney Stephen Taylor said Thursday that police are looking for 25-year-old Eduardo Rosas Cruz, a transient who comes from a part of Mexico known for a drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis.

Now, you would think that FREE treatment for a very painful and fatal disease, not to mention free room and board, would be enough to keep anybody happy. You would be wrong.

Prosecutors say Rosas Cruz was diagnosed in March when he went to the hospital for treatment of a severe cough. He was supposed to stay in a motel room, where a health worker would deliver his medication and watch him take it. But prosecutors say he took off.

This is the kind of "transient", read illegal Mexican, that one commonly is dealing with in the South West these days. They are not all good, hard working Catholics with a tan. I'd guess as much as 10% of them are like this Eduardo Rosas Cruz guy. Pig-ignorant gutter trash who just don't give a rip what happens to them or anybody else.

Spread drug resistant TB to other people? Who cares, he needed some smokes. Or a hit of crack. Or who the hell knows what, he just felt like leaving so off he went to spread destruction and death. He's That Guy.

Lots of 'em are That Guy. A very common and recurrent pattern that shows up in the illegal immigrant population. That Guy in sufficient numbers will bring down entire public service systems just by existing. Places like Minnesota are getting inundated, and they just can't handle them. California is already crushed. Its too expensive. It costs an idiotic amount of money to monitor somebody who won't cooperate. The odd druggie or deranged vet they can handle, but 100 new cases a month? No way.

What's the alternative? Forced confinement in a TB sanitarium, of course. Otherwise known as prison for sick people.

Every city in Ontario has buildings, sometimes entire hospital compounds, called "The Sanitarium". Usually referred to as "The San". Arizona was a place people with TB were sent, to be cured by the dry desert air.  Example, Bethany Home Road in Phoenix is named for the Bethany Home, which was a TB sanitarium. TB was big business in Phoenix for a very long time, there's old sanitariums all over the valley.

By the time us Baby Boomers came along after WWII they were being re-purposed as regular hospitals, and Gen XYZers probably never even heard about it. But before Penicillin was invented and rolled out in the 1940's, The San was where an awful lot of people went to die.

Because TB is contagious. Look for new sanitariums to start springing up in the next ten years or so, because this problem is only just starting.

What is the US government doing right now? Bringing drug resistant TB into the country. Deliberately.

While President Obama decries gun violence and presses for more laws to restrict ownership, his Justice Department has prosecuted 25 percent fewer cases referred by the main law enforcement agency charged with reducing firearms violence across the country, a computer analysis of U.S. prosecution data shows.

Federal prosecutors brought a total of 5,082 gun violation cases in 2013 recommended by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, compared with 6,791 during the last year of George W. Bush's presidency in 2008, according to data obtained from the Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys. The 2013 totals represent a 42 percent decline from the record number of 8,752 prosecutions of ATF cases brought by the Justice Department in 2004 under Mr. Bush, according to the data.

Wow. That's nearly half. Why the big plummet in prosecution numbers? Well, its like this:

"Within the later part of the Bush years, case selections within the ATF have gone from mostly violent crime cases — which is their forte — toward the regulatory, where they look at dealers, manufacturers and trafficking cases," said Robert Sanders, a former ATF assistant director. "The agency's philosophy has shifted to guns are the problem and access to guns are the problem, rather than the criminal being the direct indicator of crime."

 Yeah, the policy has changed from prosecuting criminals to prosecuting... you. Yes you, Mr. and Mrs. Average Schmo, the gun buyer or gun merchant who's trying to comply with the ever-increasingly-retarded paperwork and Catch-22 bullshit that is the ATF these days. As with everything else touched by the Obama Machine, it is the Regular American Citizen who is the problem, not the criminal who actually runs guns and shoots people.

But even that assessment, while realistic, seems to be a piece of bureaucratic ass-coverage, because there's this:

Current ATF agents, who spoke to The Times only on the condition of anonymity because of fears of retaliation, said the Justice Department has become risk-averse under Mr. Obama, especially after the Fast and Furious scandal. "The current climate within ATF is: 'Let's take a step back and not go after too many hard-hitting violent crime cases that use informants or undercover agents," one ATF agent said. "We can't just go it alone anymore, or even lead a case. We need buy-in from everybody: local law enforcement, other agencies. Then, and only then, are we able to sell it internally and will the U.S. attorney come onboard."

Really they cut prosecutions to stay out of the newspapers. My evil mind also says this is punishment from Barry being visited upon the ATF leadership because they made him look bad. Your agency isn't allowed to lead a case? That's Punishment with a capital "P" in the US Law Enforcement Universe. It means the Big Boss thinks you're too stupid to be trusted with the car keys.

The famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesday's installment of Life with Archie when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics' first openly gay character. Andrews' death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.

Wait, Archie comics, fave rave of tween girls since forever has an openly gay character? Really, Archie Comics.

Yep, they went there!  Its as if the entire comics publishing industry has entered into a mass suicide pact, where they all try to destroy their businesses as fast as possible.

I'm beginning to have a tiny little bit of respect for the Chicom government. They at least have the sense to treat an incipient disaster with some seriousness.

A Chinese city has been sealed off and 151 people have been placed in quarantine since last week after a man died of bubonic plague, state media said.
The 30,000 residents of Yumen, in the north-western province of Gansu, are not being allowed to leave, and police at roadblocks on the perimeter of the city are telling motorists to find alternative routes, China Central Television (CCTV) said.
A 38-year-old man died last Wednesday, the report said, after he had been in contact with a dead marmot, a small furry animal related to the squirrel. No further plague cases have been reported.
CCTV said officials were not allowing anyone to leave. The China Daily newspaper said four quarantine sectors had been set up in the city.
"The city has enough rice, flour and oil to supply all its residents for up to one month," CCTV added. "Local residents and those in quarantine are all in stable condition." No further cases have been reported.

The difference between this seemingly over the top response by Chicom goons and the "no-response" response from US Federal goons is this: the Chicoms have no illusions about their ability to contain a major outbreak of bubonic plague. They fully understand the risk if the plague gets out, and they are scared of it. Like, shut a whole city down kind of scared.

James Garner died.

Sad news this morning, James Garner died at home yesterday.

Garner, who built a six-decade career playing ruggedly charming, good-natured anti-heroes and received the highest honor of the Screen Actors Guild in 2004, was found dead from natural causes on Saturday night at his Los Angeles home, according to police.

There were no further details immediately available on the circumstances of his death. Garner underwent surgery for a stroke in 2008, two years after appearing in his last big-screen role as a wealthy grandfather for a film adaptation of the best-selling book "The Ultimate Gift".

According to the obit, Mr. Garner had a stroke back in 2008, so I can only assume his passing yesterday was not unexpected.

I always liked James Garner in the movies.

Three more victims of pneumonic plague in Colorado on Drudge today. Because fleas can JUMP.

The man initially reported with pneumonic plague on July 11 is hospitalized. Two of the new cases also had pneumonic plague, while the third had a milder form. All four cases may be linked to the original man's dog, which died from the illness, state health officials said. The people newly-found to be infected were treated with antibiotics, recovered, and are no longer contagious. Health officials suspect the dog that died may [have] been exposed to plague-infected fleas from a prairie dog or rabbit, said Jennifer House, a spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment department.

Yesterday it was revealed that Marvel Comics is turning The Mighty Thor into a chick. Today, Captain America becomes a Black guy.

Marvel is aiming for greater diversity in its big titles, hence these important changes to major characters.

Comic book fans had long-rumoured the shift from Rogers to his old ally Wilson, with the latter set to take up the founding Avenger's patriotic shield this October.

Wilson is set to star in Rick Remender's Captain America #25 with art by Carlos Pacheco. Concept art taken from the cover to All-New Captain American #1 tells fans that his costume will blend elements from his Falcon outfit with Captain America's classic style.

The "mystery" of why Conservatives hate "free" healthcare.

This is something that's bugging me this morning, and I just have to vent it.

It is no secret that Conservatives everywhere are against "socialized medicine", otherwise known as "the single payer model", "Medicare", the "Canadian/Cuban/North Korean model", or as I like to call it, The Free Lunch.

The "mystery" to Lefties and liberals of all stripes is why this is so. They don't understand. "Why do you hate poor people? What about the POOR?!!!!" is all you ever hear out of a Lefty when the conversation arises.

There are two factors, one of which is that any bureaucracy will grow to consume more than the available amount of funds, and deliver ever decreasing service for every budget increase. But that's just a money argument, and as we know money arguments make no impact on Lefties because they can't count. They can only feeeeeeel.

So here's the Feeeeeeeeeeeeelings argument, for all you innumerate sons of bitches who want to know why I, The Phantom, hate poor people.

The answer, dear Lefty, is: You're a fucking Moron.

You're a moron if you think free healthcare helps the poor. It doesn't. Because for most people, if you didn't pay money for a thing, it has no value.

People don't say thank you at the Free Lunch. They complain about the food. And they waste it.

It is a very well documented fact that the most successful health systems, with the best outcomes, are two-tier systems with co-pays. This means, morons!, that there is a public-pay section with public hospitals for the poor, and there is a private hospital system for the "lucky" 90% who work for a living and pay for their own health insurance. A co-pay means that rich or poor, everybody pays money when they visit the doctor. It works better than the "free" system. Every single time.

But WHY does it work better? Because when a human being works for a thing, they value that thing more than if they picked it up off the side of the road.

See, Lefty morons try to make it about the rich doctors grubbing money from the poor patients. But that's not what its about.

Its about the poor patient showing up at the doctors office because they have a hangnail. And getting up in everybody's face about how its their right to have their hangnail clipped by the $200/hr physician because it just is. And how its inhuman that they have to wait two hours because there's forty other morons with hangnails ahead of them. And how the doctor is stupid anyway, and the nurse is ugly, and I'm going to SUE!!!! And never mind that sick guy in the corner who might be dead, I'm going to SUE!!!!

That's the life of a Canadian doctor. (Also a Veteran's Administration doctor.)

If you make Mr. Hangnail pay even five dollars, that's $5.00 for those of you Lefty morons who can count, this entire problem goes away. For five bucks Mr. Hangnail will clip his own friggin' hangnail, and he will be a lot more inclined to LISTEN TO THE DOCTOR when he/she tells him to quit drinking Sterno before it destroys his liver. And maybe be a little more careful about his blood sugar to manage his diabetes so he doesn't lose his other, remaining leg. Or go blind. Or, you know, die.

Is the doctor making out like a bandit over the five bucks? No.

Is Mr. Hangnail poor guy going to -expire- if he has to pay five bucks? Will he have to sell his big screen TV to get healthcare? Will five bucks from his welfare check mean he has to eat dog food for a week? Uh, no.

At worst, five minutes of begging outside the hospital will get him five bucks. And gee whiz, maybe the hospital might agree to waive the co-pay for destitute guys who show up busted in the ER. Wow, could happen right? Maybe some big hearted Christian charity (like the Shriners!) might endow entire freakin' private charity hospitals for the destitute. Oh, wait, they already did.

Media discovers dead illegal immigrant in desert!

The Horror! Media finally wakes up to what's been going on for at least 20 years, and supercharged this year.

FALFURRIAS, Texas—The death march through Brooks County, Texas claimed the life of yet another illegal immigrant. A human skull and the decomposed skeletal remains are all that is left of a person who decided to come to this country illegally. A total of 42 bodies have been found this year in the desert-like ranch fields surrounding the town of Falfurrias.

The body was reported by another illegal immigrant who had been captured the day before. A search of the field, located on the northern portions of the Cage Ranch by Border Patrol agents found the decomposed body under a mesquite tree not far from the natural gas pipeline being constructed through the western portions of Brooks County.

Yeah. Like I've been saying. By the way that's not 42 dead found in the whole border region, or even just in Texas. That's just around one town in Texas. Never mind California, Arizona and New Mexico.

Its a nice day in Nogales AZ today, only 91F for the high. By Tuesday it'll be back to 106F, 38C for you Canadians, which is kinda cool for this time of year. Normally in July its up around 115F, over 40C.

In other news, another dead kid found floating in the Rio Grande.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's office recovered the body early Tuesday morning, according to KFXZ-TV.

"Just hours ago, Hidalgo County sheriff's investigators responded to the area of 15th street and Texas boulevard in Hidalgo after reports of a body found in the water.
"Authorities were able to pull the body from the Rio Grande River and determined it belongs to a young boy, possibly from Central America.
"The boy's age and identity were not revealed pending an autopsy to determine a cause of death."

Hidalgo County is where the only other death of an illegal alien child in this tidal wave of illegal immigration has been acknowledged by authorities.
Gilberto Ramos, a 15 year-old boy from Guatemala was found lying in brush dead from the heat over a month ago. His death was not announced by authorities for two weeks.

I expect there have been DOZENS of people drown in the Rio Grande this year so far. Must be a big ol' freezer filling up in some Federal facility someplace. Or possibly they just shovel and shut up.

But see, I'm a RACIST for even mentioning it, ok? Eric Holder said so:

"There's a certain level of vehemence, it seems to me, that's directed at me [and] directed at the president," Holder told ABC News' Pierre Thomas. "You know, people talking about taking their country back. A Fox News exclusive reported this morning by Jana Winter inexplicably buried the lede.

Winter reports that several dead children have been discovered "washed up along the riverbank" of the Rio Grande, but fails to note that there have been no reports by the Obama administration on this.

This indicates a pattern of covering up dead illegal alien kids by the Obama administration. It was two weeks before news was reported on the sole child death acknowledged by the Obama administration, Gilberto Ramos, a 15 year-old boy from Guatemala whose body was found in the Texas brush dead from the heat.

I understand from local Arizona sources that small bodies have been showing up in the desert for years. Weekly. As in: every week, for years. I can only imagine the numbers are way, way up this year.

Why is DHS showing up with tanks and choppers in the middle of nowhere?

This is becoming a common occurrence:

Residents of Livingston, IL., population 850, were shocked to see agents from Homeland Security, the US Customs and Border Patrol and local police agencies swarm a field belonging to a grade school yesterday, with one local telling news channel KTVI, "When all the armored trucks started showing up and everything it made me kind of nervous."

One child said he thought the spectacle was "pretty cool" and that agents invited the local children to check out the choppers up close, despite the presence of weapons inside the helicopters.

The school superintendent said he was not given any information about the operation beforehand, despite authorities using school land as a staging ground. The U.S. Attorney's Office refused to release any information on the purpose behind the operation.

KTVI labeled the presence of the feds a "mystery," although it subsequently emerged that the school was being used as a staging ground for a raid on a house three miles away. Authorities refused to divulge the purpose behind the raid or if anyone was taken into custody.

Reporter Roche Madden said he learned that ten police cars showed up at the house to conduct the raid, suggesting that the Black Hawk and the armored vehicles were merely on standby.

The sheer number of feds present, in addition to multiple armored vehicles, military-style choppers and other vehicles, in order to conduct a raid on a single house clearly suggests overkill and will prompt more concerns as to the increasing militarization of U.S. law enforcement.

Given the price of fuel, vehicles, court time, middle management apparatchiki planning time and police overtime, I would guess that raid cost about a quarter million bucks. What is the purpose of showing up with that much firepower to raid one miserable house in the sticks?

Authorities routinely stage unannounced drills, often in the middle of the night, which terrify startled residents. Critics have asserted that Americans are being conditioned to accept military-style policing as a routine occurrence.

 Uhm, yeah. The same as getting frisked at the airport is a scam to condition Americans to accept getting frisked, rather than a vital piece of security.

The American Constitution has been suspended for some time now. They just haven't announced it yet.

Meanwhile in Texas:

MCALLEN, Texas—Illegal aliens are being allowed to fly on commercial airliners without valid identification, according to the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). "The aliens who are getting released on their own recognizance are being allowed to board and travel commercial airliners by simply showing their Notice to Appear forms," NBPC's Local 2455 Spokesman, Hector Garza, told Breitbart Texas.

"This is not the CBP [Customs and Border Protection] or another federal agency renting or leasing an aircraft, these are the same planes that the American public uses for domestic travel," said Garza. "This just adds insult to injury. Not only are we releasing unknown illegal aliens onto American streets, but we are allowing them to travel commercially using paperwork that could easily be reproduced or manipulated on any home computer. The Notice to Appear form has no photo, anyone can make one and manipulate one. They do not have any security features, no watermark, nothing. They are simply printed on standard copy paper based on the information the illegal alien says is the truth."

Spokesman Garza continued, "We do not know who these people are, we often have to solely rely on who they say they are, where they say they came from, and the history they say they have. We know nothing about most of them, ICE releases them into the American public, and now they are boarding aircraft at will with a simple paper document that anyone can easily alter or reproduce themselves."

And don't forget friends, this week it was announced that there's a big TSA security push at foreign airports.

When words don't mean things.

Of late it has come to my attention that the word "liberal" has become a bad thing among some of the fruitier fruitbats of the Left.

Today we hear from pollsters that "liberal" does not mean the same thing when Millennials say it as it does when their Boomer parents say it.

Millennials use language differently than Boomers and Gen Xers (born between 1965 and 1980). In the Reason-Rupe poll, about 62% of Millennials call themselves liberal. By that, they mean the favor gay marriage and pot legalization, but those views hold little or no implication for their views on government spending. To Millennials, being socially liberal is being liberal, period. For most older Americans, calling yourself a liberal means you want to increase the size, scope, and spending of the government (it may not even mean you support legal pot and marriage equality). Despite the strong liberal tilt among Millennials, 53% say they would support a candidate who was socially liberal and fiscally conservative (are you listening, major parties?).

 What they mean when they say "liberal" is "libertarian". As in, "stop taxing me and get out of my face Big Brother!"

There are other areas where language doesn't track neatly with Boomer and Gen X definitions. Millennials have no first-hand memories of the Soviet Union or the Cold War. Forty-two percent say they prefer socialism as a means of organizing society but only 16% can define the term properly as government ownership of the means of production. In fact, when asked whether they want an economy managed by the free market or by the government, 64% want the former and just 32% want the latter. Scratch a Millennial "socialist" and you are likely to find a budding entrepreneur (55% saying they want to start their own business someday). Although they support a government-provided social safety net, two-thirds of Millennials agree that "government is usually inefficient and wasteful" and they are highly skeptical toward government with regards to privacy and nanny-state regulations about e-cigarettes, soda sizes, and the like.

But, due to the continual destruction of the English language by the Left, nobody knows what anyone is talking about. "Conservative" used to mean somebody who wanted to conserve government power and privilege to the crown and the noble class, these days it means somebody who resists unlawful government tyranny. Pretty much a full 180 degree inversion of meaning.

"Liberal" likewise has become inverted, deliberately, but lately its getting inverted again to approach its original meaning. Furthermore the Kewl Kids of the New Left are using liberal as a term of disparagement, to draw a line between themselves and the old-school Boomer Left with their ever-more ridiculous parsing of sexuality into 57 different varieties.

Ordinary Internet users, American and non-American alike, far outnumber legally targeted foreigners in the communications intercepted by the National Security Agency from U.S. digital networks, according to a four-month investigation by The Washington Post.

Nine of 10 account holders found in a large cache of intercepted conversations, which former NSA contractor Edward Snowden provided in full to The Post, were not the intended surveillance targets but were caught in a net the agency had cast for somebody else.

This article reveals how pervasive the searching is and particularly the sheer volume of stored conversations being kept by the NSA. This isn't the  "raw" take either, this is the post analysis storage of stuff the NSA wants to keep around forever.

Tuberculosis outbreak at Sacramento CA high school.

That was fast! Proof that you must never doubt The Phantom, the Sacramento Bee reports that a high schooler managed to infect four other kids at the school plus some relatives, for a total of nine TB cases... that they know of.

A California high school is at the center of a tuberculosis outbreak linked to an infectious student who tested positive for active TB in February, county health officials said Wednesday.
Four more students at Grant Union High School in Sacramento have contracted active TB. Three related tuberculosis cases are considered an outbreak, Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services spokeswoman Laura McCasland said.
Four relatives and friends of the student who initially tested positive have also contracted active TB — bringing the total to nine known cases.

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.
In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans.

The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children's Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.
The sources say security forces called themselves the "Brown Shirts."
"It was a very submissive atmosphere," the counselor said. "Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws."
She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.

Leaving aside the abysmal conditions the border-jumping children are being kept in, and the poor medical condition many of them are in, it is extremely troubling that any private security force would be threatening anyone with arrest, much less doctors and nurses in a public health setting.
