Actual fascism vs. the pretend kind.

Pretend fascist, Tony Robbins. No, really.

I didn't discuss famous life coach/motivational speaking Tony Robbins much in my series on Jordan Peterson and the wider phenomenon of self-improvement as gateway to fascism.

Point of information, this website, Cameltoe Flopatron, is nominated for a Hugo award for fan sites this year. So really, no surprises here. I advise against going there, that's the first line in that post and it goes rapidly downhill from there. Floppy Cameltron sees fascists everywhere. According to the flopster, Ayn Rand is a fascist. You'll feel stupider for half an hour after reading it

Actual fascist, this guy.
Richard Pan is a far left California state senator.
Pan recently introduced legislation to crack down on free speech on the internet.
Pan's legislation would force online publishers to utilize state-sanctioned fact checkers to approve content before it is posted online.
Jon Rappaport reported:
The bill is titled "SB1424 Internet: social media: false information: strategic plan."
It targets social media based in California. But as you read the bill, you see it appears to define social media as any Internet blog, website, or communication.
Its very simple, really. Under this bill you apply to a government censor for permission to make a blog post. You can say anything you want, as long as its government approved. Just like in Communist China, where it appears Mr. Richard Pan might be from. But he's a good progressive. Great guy.

So remember kids, if you want a Hugo rocket of your very own some day,  Richard Pan is a "brave, freedom fighting progressive." But Tony Robbins, Jordan Peterson and Ayn Rand are all "fascists."

Just so we are all clear what's what.

Update: Welcome, huge wave of visitors from Instapundit! ~:D Sarah Hoyt buried me again!

Left this on his site. We'll see if it makes it through the filter.
“Pushing back works when it is done collectively and the one thing that simply unites conservatism, libertarianism, self-help and fascism is opposition to people organising from the ground up without direction from leaders.”

Which is a lie, and even if it was true, would differentiate them from progressivism, statism, social justice, and communism–how?

Are book burnings far off? They all ready have their brown shirts.

Yes, that is modern California, elected by Californian Americans. Hard to believe as that is.

Camestros has been an annoying little p1$$ ant on a number of the blogs I read. He loves to come around and poke fun at all the Fallacies and then illustrate them to the 'rubes' by employing far more of the fallacies, far more efficiently than anyone else.

He's a man on a mission and he won't logic get in the way. Or intellectual honesty. He's been banned from many of the blogs for his blatantly dishonest mode of commenting.

He's a particular favorite and very nasty little hive of scum and villainy known as File 770, a sci-fi webzine, if you hadn't ever heard of it.

Welcome, everybody. I thought it was an important public service to shine a flashlight into the dank little corner of the Interwebz where WorldCon members hide. Cameltoe flopatron is fairly representative of the thinking that's driving the #MeToo, #BlackLivesMatter, #Resist freakshow that is being covered so much by the main stream press.

He's also representative of WorldCon and the type of thing the Big Five SF/F publishers are into these days. Painting a man like Jordan Peterson as a Nazi is what they want to see in an author.

I see that 60Guilders managed to get a comment on Floppy's post, and he proceeded to do the usual soft-shoe shuffle plus 'squirrel!' thing he's know for..

This is what's getting a Hugo nomination today my friends. No Sad/Rabid Puppies this year clouding the issue, it is all on them. Tradpub and traditional SF Fandom in all its blue haired, mobility scooter riding glory.

By the way, the book-burning will be electronic this time around, brought to you by Google, Amazon and Farcebook.

According to his Congressional testimony, not under oath thanks to backfield in motion by the way, Zuckerberg wants to run an AI on Farcebook that won't let users post "fake news." Which means anything Marky doesn't support this week will be off the Internet. With DemocRat approval, of course, there's a lot of talk about regulation the Internet.

Meanwhile Amazon has been showing signs of wanting to "sanitze" the Kindle Store. Currently they are merely cleaning up scammers, which is laudable. Nobody likes scammers. But the technology on display could easily be turned to sorting books by "fake news" standards, and removing anything that doesn't suit the desired ideological template. That's something they could easilly do, and it is certainly being talked about by people like Crapheadstros Flopatron.

I'm keeping my blog backed-up in case Google Blogspot decides I'm Fake News too. Never hurts to be prepared.

Yes, I am aware of China Mike and his bot-farm. He has 30 Hugo Awards, which speaks volumes about both him and the award. We don't call it Vile 666 for nothing.

I keep this around in case he shows up here: http://phantomsoapbox.blogspot.ca/2015/02/the-iron-finger-of-deletion.html
