Wait for Felix the Cat and Poindexter to get finished doing their testing. Its only prudent, and they're going as fast as they can.
Possible progress is good. So buck up, things could be worse. Maybe drop a note to your various public health officials that they should pay attention to this testing.
But if you've got a relative who's sick and there's nothing to lose by trying... they sell this shit in gallons at the feed store. Your vet has lots of it. Maybe the cat might need de-worming, know what I mean?
