This is exciting! A group of brainiacs have managed to grow thin films of diamond laced with carbon nanotubes. The idea is much like fiberglass, which is strong fibers of glass embeded in hard plastic resin. These guys have immensly strong nanotube fibers encased in diamond! That's going to be a very interesting material. Wonder how long before we can buy stuff made out of it?
